If you know the recent history of our church, you probably already know that we are Glory Community Church, formerly known as Sixth Avenue Community Church. The reason for the name change is simple: we are no longer on Sixth Avenue.
About two years ago, we received a call at four in the morning that our building had caught fire. After examining the aftermath, it became clear that we would no longer be able to use that building. Since then, we have been meeting in various other church buildings with partner churches in our city. We have been exceedingly blessed by the Lord to continue being the church—preaching the gospel, making disciples, and evangelizing the lost.
While much good has come from this fire, we have also faced many difficulties. One of the challenges was navigating the insurance process, which is never easy. But here we are, in November 2025, and the Lord has been exceedingly kind to provide us with a piece of land on which to build.
Before we can build, however, we need to raise a significant amount of funds—about $5.5 million. We want to emphasize that we are not asking anyone to cover all of our expenses. This video is being shared because many of you, after hearing about the fire, expressed a desire to help if there was a way. This is that opportunity.
